Getting Started

You'll have your first repository tracked and notifications configured in under two minutes.

Create your account

  1. Go to patchday.dev and click Start tracking free.
  2. Fill in your name, email address, and a password (minimum 8 characters).
  3. Click Create account.

You'll land on an empty dashboard, ready to add your first repository.

Add your first repository

  1. Click Add Repository on the dashboard (or use the + button in the sidebar).
  2. Type a GitHub repository in one of these formats:
    • Short form: immich-app/immich
    • Full URL: https://github.com/immich-app/immich
  3. Click Track Repository.

Patchday verifies the repository exists on GitHub, then fetches its releases in the background. The latest release card appears on your dashboard once that fetch completes, and the AI summary follows shortly after.

Set up push notifications

Patchday sends push notifications through ntfy, a lightweight notification service that works on Android, iOS, and desktop.

  1. Go to Notifications in the sidebar.
  2. Toggle the ntfy.sh switch to on.
  3. Enter a topic name. This can be anything you choose, like my-patchday-alerts.
  4. On your phone or computer, open the ntfy app and subscribe to the same topic name.

Every time a tracked repository publishes a new release, you'll get a push notification with the release name, a short summary, and a direct link to the release on GitHub.
